What is Enhanced Login Security?

Enhanced Login Security is an additional layer of security beyond simply entering a username and password to sign in to Online Banking. Even if your password is stolen in a phishing attack or by malicious software, the fraudster can’t access your accounts because they do not possess the additional factors needed, which are harder to steal. Enhanced Login Security gives you additional peace of mind when using Online Banking. Once you have enrolled your computer, you won’t even know it’s there!

Why should I enable Enhanced Login Security?

When you enable Enhanced Login Security, you enroll the computer you normally use to access Online Banking. If you attempt to access Online Banking from a computer that is not enrolled, you will be prompted to provide additional information in order to gain temporary access. This process for gaining temporary access allows you to sign in from computers you do not wish to enroll in Enhanced Login Security permanently, such as public-access computers in a library or hotel.

If attempting to access Online Banking from a computer that is not enrolled you must answer a series of questions previously setup within Online Banking. You must submit questions and answers in order to access Online Banking. In addition you will not be able to opt-out of the Forgotten Password feature. Once challenge questions and answers are setup you can enable Enhanced Login Security, for your account, within the User Options menu.
