Uwharrie Capital Corp Announces New Officers
Tuesday, July 31st 2007 - Albemarle, NC - Roger Dick, President and Chief Executive Officer of Uwharrie Capital Corp, is pleased to announce that Jan Hobbs, Matthew Greene and Sarah Bivins were recently named Assistant Vice Presidents by the Uwharrie Capital Corp Board of Directors.

Jan began her career with Bank of Stanly / Uwharrie Capital Corp in 1997, and is responsible for the daily operations and management of the loan support area. Jan is a 1980 graduate of Scotland High School in Laurinburg, but is a native of Stanly County, where she now resides with her family.
She is an active member of Bethany United Methodist Church, where she is church treasurer and participates as a member of the United Methodist Women and finance committee.
Matthew joined the Uwharrie Capital Corp Technology team in 1998 as a PC Support Specialist and Network Administrator, working part-time while attending Stanly Community College. He obtained his Associate of Arts Degree in Drafting and Design Engineering in 1997, and completed his Associate of Arts Degree in Computer Engineering in 1999.
In his current position as Systems Administrator, he is responsible for network administration and security, overseeing technology needs for new branch construction and renovations, internet connectivity and is the primary technology resource for Remote Deposit Capture. He is an avid runner and is actively involved in the Uwharrie Running Club as a volunteer and promoter of running and fitness and participates in various fundraisers involved with running. He is also a licensed electrical contractor. Matthew is a native of western Stanly County and currently resides in that area.
Sarah joined the Uwharrie Capital Corp Finance / Accounting team in 2000 as a Financial Accountant. Sarah is a 2000 graduate of Pfeiffer University, where she received her BS Degrees in Accounting and Computer Information Systems.
She is a member of the First Lutheran Church of Albemarle, and is actively involved with the Albemarle Downtown Development Corporation (ADDC), having served as chair of the Promotions Committee, Angels of Albemarle Committee and co-chair and member of the Beach Blast Committee. She has also served as secretary / treasurer of the Democratic Precinct in Albemarle. She resides in Albemarle with her family.
