Bank of Stanly Honors Teacher of the Year
and Outstanding

Tuesday, May 8th 2008 - Albemarle, NC - Bank of Stanly honored Stanly County’s 2007-2008 Teacher of the Year Gregg Pait recently at the company’s Annual Meeting of Shareholders. Mr. Pait teaches at North Stanly High School. “Teachers have a special mission of helping mold and encourage our children to be what they can be, to dream big dreams and realize those dreams,” said Jerry Long, Bank of Stanly’s Board of Directors’ Chair, who recognized Mr. Pait.
“Gregg Pait chose teaching because he was looking for a way to share his love of History with other people. Gregg teaches Social Studies because he felt it gave him the greatest chance to study lots of different things and it was the subject he was most passionate about during his college years.”

Bank of Stanly also recognized Hudson Pool Distributors of New London as its 2008 Outstanding Business. “Hudson Pool Distributors is the largest single location wholesale distributor in the southeast” said Bill Lawhon, President and Chief Executive Officer of Bank of Stanly. Future plans for Hudson Pool involve manufacturing items such as spas and steps that are used in pools. They have a strong dedication to Stanly County and are making a difference in the community by providing good jobs and by helping create community wealth right here at home.”
Bank of Stanly presented Mr. Gregg Pait a monetary gift and a desk clock frame which featured an original piece of art depicting Mr. Pait’s area of teaching. Hudson Pool Distributors were presented a grandfather wall clock.
