Misty Thornburg began her financial services career in 1999 with the investment and insurance subsidiaries and quickly developed into her current role as Database Manager, holding responsibility for the overall management and maintenance of the investment advisory company database and reporting of the company’s portfolio returns and holdings. In addition to her role as Database Manager, she is an investment advisor representative, holding her Series 7, 66 and 53 securities registrations with the National Association of Securities Dealers (NASD).
Misty graduated Cum Laude in 1999 from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte, with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration, majoring in Finance. She serves as a member of the Strategic Investment Advisors Investment Committee and lives in the Albemarle area with her husband, Scott, and their two children, Rachel and Catherine.
Lindsey Capell joined the Uwharrie Capital Corp team in February 2006, assisting with the development, implementation and ongoing management of the Remote Deposit Capture product and other online banking services.
Lindsey currently resides in Charlotte, NC and is a graduate of Charlotte Latin School, but has childhood ties to Wadesboro, North Carolina. She graduated Cum Laude in 2005 from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte, with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Spanish. She is a graduate of the Mingle School of Real Estate and obtained further training through The Payments Institute in 2007. Lindsey is active within the Company as a member of the Young Adult Leaders Committee and in the community as a member of the Anson County Arts Council, the Young Affiliates of the Mint Museum and participates in the Big Brothers Big Sisters program.
