Yes! You may enter a payment to your new payee immediately; however, the payment will not actually be made until the payee is set up.
Any payments made to the payee before the payee is added to the system will be delayed by approximately two business days.
Why is it important to enter the "Payment Due Date" when entering bills?
The NEW Online Bill Payment system works off of the Payment Due Date.
This means when you enter the date the payment is due the system will work backwards to begin processing the payment in time for it to reach the payee.
You will be presented with a calendar showing the earliest date available for payment based on the method of payment (paper draft, electronic payment, etc.)
