David Gaskin grew up in Albemarle and was an Eagle Scout with Troop 82. He is a graduate of UNC Greensboro with a Bachelor of Science in Recreation Administration; a bachelor’s degree from N.C. State University in rural sociology and received his Master of Business Administration from Brenau University with a concentration in marketing.

David has been a financial advisor with Uwharrie Investment Advisors since 2005, holds the FINRA Securities Registrations Series 7, 66 and is also licensed to sell life, health and long-term care insurance. David is a Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU®) certificant, a Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC®) certificant, and an Accredited Investment Fiduciary (AIF®) certificant. He is a registered representative of Private Client Services, LLC.

Prior to joining Uwharrie Investment Advisors, David worked as a financial consultant and served as a human resource director with Fortune 500 companies for 15 years. He was the founder/owner of Faith Wind Productions until 2000. He served as a past president of the Charlotte Art League and is active in the Albemarle Rotary Club.
